MAEK for GoldenGate 7.0 Release Notes

MAEK for GoldenGate is a monitoring GUI tool to show replication performance metrics and database related information.

System Requirements

• MAEK Client (Main application and Collector are running) - Windows

  • Windows 7/8/8.1/10
    Windows Vista

  • Windows Server 2003(+R2)
    Windows Server 2008(+R2)
    Windows Server 2012(+R2)

  • 32/64bit

  • Oracle Client 32bit ( Instant Client is not supported yet )

  • Linux/Unix/Mac is not supported yet.

• Monitored servers - Unix / Linux / SSH enabled

Replication software Requirements

• GoldenGate: No version limitation. Tested to 12c.

Monitored Database

• Oracle from 9i to 12c

• MAEK is able to monitor Oracle, however, logically there is no limitation. With JDBC/ODBC connections, it could monitor other database. It will be implemented proactively later on.

Internal Repository

• PostgreSQL 9.5

• Binary distribution version is bundled(User doesn't need to install).

• 5434 Port within Windows system

What's new

• Replaced SQLite database with PostgreSQL 9.5 to provide more stable repository and support remote connection from other server/client. With PostgreSQL, MAEK Client could connect to a centralized repository easily.

• Graph Chart for checking post queue's AGE value in Replication Dashboard.

• A feature to be able to check current Compare jobs running.

• Implemented to define thresholds of latency and backlog.

• Keep the one simple color(Blue) for Dashboard chart.
